Marvin Garrett Rough Stock Series

Pennington Events Center, Rapid City, SD
7:00PM Showtime Each Evening

Get ready for pure rodeo!

It’s the fastest-paced, fastest-growing event series in professional rodeo today and it’s easy to see why. The Marvin Garrett Roughstock Series is coming to the Black Hills at the Pennington Events Center in Rapid City, SD, October 24th-25th. The series matches world champion cowboys against world champion livestock in rodeo’s three roughest events- bareback, saddle bronc and bull riding. It’s all out war when this extraordinary collection of rodeo’s meanest broncs and bulls get in the same room with the sports toughest and most-talented cowboys.

The competition is intense, with thousands in prize money and the coveted Roughstock Buckle on the line. You’ll see raw talent, bad-mannered livestock and unscripted results!

The event not only showcases the very best of rodeo’s 8-second rides, but also includes an appearance by one of the fastest rising duets in country music today- “Joey & Rory.” Joey Martin and Rory Feek combine the talents of a gifted vocalist and a hit songwriter to create a chemistry that is only possible through the love they share for one another.  As a husband and wife duo, they were finalists on the hit TV series ‘Can You Duet’, which introduced them to millions of country music fans across the country.  Joey’s not just a country singer, she is country. She knows her way around horses, barns and cattle and she ropes on the side rolling up her sleeves up working like a cowhand. As the other half of Joey & Rory, Rory, a songwriter, has written three #1 records in the last few years (Blake Shelton’s “Some Beach”, Clay Walker’s “The Chain of Love” and Collin Raye’s “Someone You Used To Know”) and has cuts by Kenny Chesney, Randy Travis, Terri Clark, Mark Wills, Reba McEntire, Waylon Jennings, Lorrie Morgan, Buck Owens, John Michael Montgomery and Charlie Pride to name a few.

The Marvin Garrett Roughstock Series is produced by four-time World Champion and Rodeo Hall of Fame bareback rider Marvin Garrett with the assistance of Spud Whitman, a highly respected accomplished bull rider of PBR fame. Through the live events and the accompanying televised broadcasts, Marvin’s mission is to grow rodeo’s fan base by providing quality entertainment and educating viewers to present the very best of rodeo to a regional, national and world-wide audience.
